This jacket is lightweight, but good quality. My dogs are frequently exposed to snow and temperatures down to single digits at times. They are short haired so I needed something for them. I tried multiple different brands but nothing fit them right until I found these. They used to shiver when we were out for walks longer than a few minutes, but now they seem warm enough with these. It was a huge plus for me that there’s no Velcro at the neck since my pups require a harness that attaches in the front of their chest. All of the other vests had Velcro there and it would constantly come undone. They are 35 and 55 lbs. The purple is a medium and the blue is large. They both have room to grow. Neck: 15 and 17 in. Chest 24 and 27 in. I got a larger size than their measurements to fit the harnesses underneath and give them room to grow.

I must say I love this coat. It has always been a pain to find my dog a coat because of his smaller neck, large chest, and long body..he's all leg and no fat. I was a little skeptical and even made sure to measure him twice to be sure he was going to fit this and I didn't want to have to return it. I live in GA but I am visiting family in IN soon for the holiday and my dog shivers in 50 degree weather down here (talk about princess!) and I must say this coat is fabulous! It fits him like a glove. I ended up going with a medium because he fit a medium (neck and girth) in some categories but a large in one of them (length). I'm not one to put a coat on my dog ever but I can't stand to see him shiver and he has been a happier dog with it on in the outdoor weather! I can't wait to see how it does back in with the snow this year!

No zipper to snag, just slips over the dog's head and very broad velcro covered wrap goes around the girth and fastens on the sides of our pooch. We have used the size charts for others and found them long enough, but often not wide enough for one of our chunky-monkeys. The material seems high quality, craftsmanship excellent. So far, this jacket/coat is working in the cold and repels snow quite well. Once the temps get below 30F or so, we go with the jacket; especially if it is breezy. Both dogs do well up to a couple of miles or so as low as low single digits fahrenheit. Best thing is how quickly and easy it goes on and is very adjustable to various girth dogs.

This jacket is thin but seemed to keep her warm (we were hiking in cold, snowy weather and wanted an extra layer on her to keep her warm) and is very easy to put on. Best part of the coat besides the wonderful teal color is that I can attach her leash to the front and back of her harness! Only issue like others mentioned was the coat "pops up" when my dog leans over to sniff something (see photos) and bunches a little bit sometimes but straightens out on its own. It is also slightly shorter on the back than anticipated but it covers most of her which is good. Seems very durable and my dog likes it.

This coat came promptly (thank you Amazon) and fit very nicely. I was worried the neck might be tight but it falls on him in a way that works well (right behind his collar) and does not seem too tight. The chest strap gives a lot of latitude for adjusting so that was awesome and made the fit perfect. It is lightweight but more than just a shell so I think it will be good for him. We have not been out yet as we just got it but I look forward to testing it out soon.

I purchased two of these jackets for both of my dogs. The size is pretty spot on. I ordered the large for my 60lb Weimaraner mix and the XL for my Native American Indian dog (NAID) who is 100lbs. They fit nicely around the neck and stomach. It's not insulated, which I found was a plus. With the weather here in the "Great Northwest" we get a lot of rain. My NAID has a thing about getting drenched on his walks (he loves the cold and the rain) and coming inside the house and rubbing his body over all the furniture. This jacket is definitely waterproof - he can't get my furniture wet anymore! And this jacket doesn't make him too warm.
