When I saw this I thought it was too small... BUT, I was surprised by the amount of dirt that each opening is able to hold. My recommendation is to start filling it up from the bottom up, cause if you start from the top it is kind of hard to fill the oned below. I am very happy with this product.

I truly thought the product was larger when I ordered it, so unfortunately I may need to replant my herbs in the future depending on how many seedlings persevere. But good for now! My one complaint is that the hangers came only with zip ties to hang them. I ended up buying a pack of flat S hooks from this wwebsite to hang them from my storage door, so no biggie. I’ll throw the zip ties in my junk drawer. I love how many pockets this has. I would LOVE to see a horizontal option for the wooden beams on my patio.

I can see that you would have to be very careful with watering if using this inside, but mine is outside so it’s fine. Mine is filled with succulent cuttings which are really thriving. I added a lot of perlite to the potting soil to keep it lightweight. I will be adding more planter bags to cover up an ugly wall. Well made with its of zip ties added. Very stable.
