Christmas tree fairy lights are generally one color, tangled in a ball, and kind of boring! The only thing that is even more boring is a christmas tree with no lights. Therefore, sooner or later you have to untangle the pile of cables that has been gathering dust in a box since last january. Or you can leave the pile of lights and cables where it is and greet the christmas tree of the future with the app-controlled christmas lights twinkly strings!
First you decorate your fir tree with Twinkly. When the chain of lights is hanging, it shows what it’s made of. The Twinkly app uses LED mapping for a light show that puts everything in the shade: Film your Christmas tree with your smartphone, in this way the app recognizes where each individual lamp is.
You can then either choose one of the many preset light effects or control the lights individually, i.e. you can set exactly which lamp should light up or flash in which color and when. Let your Christmas tree shine in classic red and green when you are waiting for Santa Claus or when you are flashing in the colors of the rainbow! The app synchronizes with the fairy lights in real time. If you have set colors and effects in the app, you will see the effects directly on the Christmas tree.
We have two versions of Twinkly String: with 250, 400 and 600 LED lights. You can synchronize up to ten fairy lights in the app, which results in almost unlimited possibilities to transform your home into a brightly colored winter wonderland! The light chain is suitable for use in the house and connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

over twenty years and it is still very beautiful and has often been mistaken for a real tree. Our lights, through the years, particularly with the changes in lighting generally, left our tree either too bright or too dull and so this year, we indulged in this large set of Twinkly. We could not be happier! These lights are amazing. They can be as bright or as dim as you prefer, you can use pre-programmed patterns or create your own. It can be like a new tree every day if you want! The set up wasn't difficult (according to my husband,) and being able to control them with our cell phones was an extra bonus. They are a little expensive compared to ordinary lights, but so worth it if you want a seriously spectacular Christmas tree. Highly recommend!!
Easy to use. Get the app. Turn on and off thru the app. Create an account works thru your wifi. Lights are divided into 2 strands connected in the center. Wrap your tree and try to keep the ligths on the outside and not burried in the branches. After you put both strands on your tree. You have to take pictures on the ligths when on. It is best to do at night. You map the ligths and when you get it acceptable then you can pick and choose the brightness and colors. You can create your own designs. You can download some pre-made patterns some are modifiable and some are not. We had a different light show every night and it was amazing!!!
The only con I have is a software annoyance; when saving scenes, the only way I could get it to take without erroring out is to make sure the lights are turned off first. Overall though, these things are good for the show. All 6 sets outside were grouped together and synced with about 7 different patterns. I didn’t even try the 2D mapping; the 3D mapping was flawless, and worth the time outside in the cold. Using iOS 14.2 on an 11 pro max.
