   I didn’t appreciate that it was already fraying when it arrived. This makes me suspicious of its durability. I feel like the front vest area could be softer and flexible rather than like a board. It is really easy to buckle the dog in, but it was a pain in the butt to get it adjusted to fit him. I have a sleepypod clickit utility for my other dog and has gotten this dog one as well, but it unfortunately did not fit his body correctly. I’m hoping this is worth the money.

   I like the Slide Lock that connects the two halves together. Easy as pie. Once you get the vet fitted it's easy to slip on and off. Love the the two top side handles where the seat belt goes thu. Gives much more belt slack and room for the dog. The other crash vest I had made by Sleepy Pod is also made well (Terrain) but the seat belt bust feed under each side of the vest to the other resting on the dogs back and then to the latching point. Does not work well in my HUMMER H2 rear seat as it cuts out room for the dog. Also ..takes time to feed it thru while the dog is trying to figure out what your doing.

   I have a four-month old Akita puppy and did a ton of research on the best car harness. After reading the already terrific reviews, I bought it. It arrived ahead of scheduled delivery and must say it was a breeze to adjust the straps and click her in the car. With my car, she does have the ability to either sit or lie down although this will obviously change as she becomes an adult. I did order the LARGE because it fit her perfectly and will adjust nicely as she gets bigger. Apparently, it is crashed-tested with high marks. She really enjoys the harness. Highly, highly recommend it!!!

After some treats and working with his ball he was soon okay with it. The Clasps are easy to use, taking it off is as simple as release both clamps and it falls to the ground and he steps out of the arm holes. Getting him into the arm holes takes some squirming and negotiation, but he will enjoy it once he associates wearing the harness with going for a ride.

   I had bought two of these harnesses for my very large dogs, and they worked great for several years. Unfortunately, one of my dogs passed away due to cancer and I got a 5 month old puppy who will probably grow to be a medium-large dog, so I got another one of these in a smaller size for her. It fits her great at the smallest setting, and I think it will continue to work for her as she grows.
   These are very easy to put on and take off once you have taken the time to get the straps right, and they are about as sturdy a harness as I have ever seen. The big loops make attaching the seat belt very easy, and the dual D-rings make it possible to secure a leash to them even if they are strong pullers. Very happy with them.

   My veterinarian prefers crash harnesses over dog car crates. Unless you fasten your crate solidly in the car crates provide little protection. My dog is not a fan of harnesses of any kind. Be careful of getting the right size and adjust the harness carefully or the stiff breastplate can ride up under your dogs neck and interfere with breathing. Harness must be snug and fitted correctly to work. To avoid it riding up.

   Size Small fits my corgi perfectly (Pembroke Corgi 18.00 lbs). It took me approximately 10 minutes to readjust it and the instructions were very straightforward so I didn’t have any problems with that. Overall, I highly recommend getting one of these safety harness over the cheaper ones that aren’t tested. It’s pricy but worth it since I travel with my pup quite a bit and she’s like a family member to me. I’d do anything to make sure she’s as safe as possible.

   The product is very secure and fits our 43lb. dog nicely. When adjusted properly (you need to work this part out with your pet ;) ) it fits very securely and will restrain your animal. We experienced severe auto accident, and thankfully pet was not involved in this incident. This made us realize pet needs to be secured too. We believe this product gives us the best protection for our pet and EVERYONE should buckle up for Safety's sake, even for the shortest car rides.
