   I bought this extender mainly to keep our ecobee thermostat at optimum wifi signal strength as it was only at 65% before the extender. Happy to say that after a few stumbles with the installation process, we are up and running at 90% signal strength! My mistake was to connect the included ethernet cord to my router as well as the extender...totally unnecessary. Just plug Repeater into an electric socket, wait for the WLAN to light up and then launch the web browser as stated in the instructions. Make sure to click on "Repeater" in the wizard, NOT "AP" . There are plenty of YouTube videos if things aren't working. ( I had better success when I used my iPhone instead of my laptop.)

   I live in a mobile home that is 70 feet long. The computer room is on one end, the TV is in the center and the bedroom and bath are at the opposite end of the home. My streaming on the TV would often have a buffering problem and getting a signal on my phone or iPad while on the "throne" was nearly impossible. After installing this repeater that problem has been overcome. Installation is another issue. I'm pretty savvy with electronics but it took me way too long to figure out how to make the repeater work. I finally figured out that I had to sign in to the repeater on every device. Once I figured that out it has been performing amazingly well. The instructions are lacking on just how to make this happen.

Ordered this puppy, set it to repeater mode and now I get all 4 bars of sweet, sweet wifi in my bed. Definitely a great value and has immensely improved my life.    It actually works!!! It took very little skill to set up and put to work. My house is U shaped with my signal coming into one corner. With the repeater I just gave the farthest point of my house a WiFi signal equal to the modem/router. I just got another one today to place at the other weak spot. This should do the trick for the whole house, garage, patio, etc

   This works great and was simple to set up. The High-Speed AC channel doesn't have a lot of range so I have this plugged into an outlet upstairs and my kids get WiFi now with no problems. Believe me, they would let me know if that wasn't the case. LOL
