But after it sat in the sun awhile it worked continuously with a nice spray about 18 to 24 inches high. Great price. I took off the top float piece and did not use the bottom suction as they were not needed for my purposes. . It floats nicely in my bird bath. The hummingbirds love it.

LOVE this little invention! So easy and cost effective! I had a very large ceramic bowl, filled it with water, and placed the solar pump in the middle. One small problem I encountered - - - I live on a very WINDY cliff and worried that the pump would blow away as it's very light. The suction pads on the bottom did not seem to adhere to the bowl so I weighted the pump down with clear glass stones. Has not affected the light getting to the pump and has kept it stationary in the bowl. I think this is the smartest, easiest way to have some water action in my yard and plan to buy more for the pool! Highly recommend this little pump!
