   Product will do exactly as expected. I am installing vinyl flooring in my basement and am planning on using this to mark all of the odd cuts on the flooring prior to cutting such as the columns. This contour gauge seems well built and the lock feature works well. I have yet to use if for it's intended purpose, but I have played with it around the house.

   Very nice contour gauge, I have had the ones with the round wires however the wires get bent with use and storage, and it becomes a pain to use afterwards. This one seems to solve that problem and also gives you the ability to adjust the tension. There are similar ones out there but do not know if they are deep enough or made with the same quality build as this model, it does sell for a bit more than others but I believe it is worth the extra money. Great replacement for my old wire gauge. After receiving it I tested it out on a few items, door jambs moldings etc to adjust the tension to my liking and now have it ready for whenever I need it, for tiling, wood trim work to make a plaster guide copy the molding profile around curved surfaces. Very happy with this gauge.

   We had fun just pressing the saker contour gauge against everything just to check out the shapes! It is going to be a tremendous help for us when we replace the tiles in our bathrooms. My husband is always building something, he's going to really enjoy this. I got it for Father's Day he just loves it. Cutting odd shapes finally made very very simple! A++++. The only down is that we wish it could have been a little longer do you have one that's a little longer?

   The good: 10 inches - Super big! Can do large sections at once without having Easy locking tab - stays in place, doesn't budge much to make tracing easy Orange - my favorite color. Cons: Lines - Like almost all of these products when you trace, the lines aren't really smooth but it doesn't matter much once you start cutting because the blade evens it out Plastic - metal would be nice but would also cost more. Final thoughts: The size of it for the price is pretty excellent, especially if you're doing tile or flooring in general because making templates out of paper takes forever and this just speeds the entire project up.

   Contour gages are really cool tools, and of course there are other people who have talked about how they help with flooring and woodworking projects. For me, I have a completely different use. I'm a potter, and I will be using the gages to help me make templates for matching pieces of pottery. My photo shows how I can duplicate the contour of a favorite mug. I will transfer this to a piece of plastic to make a permanent template. The gages were packaged well in a reusable box for storage. The locks on both gages worked well. Couldn't be happier.

   I like this little tool. It’s crazy how simple it is but it took so long for someone to come up with this idea! There are many companies selling this contour gauge but not all of them are fair. Around that time, I saw this same device on Traby for many different sellers and decided to go with this company. So far, I have no complaints. Moves smoothly when pressed against another object. Locks and unlocks easily and plastic pieces stay in place even after I try to force them in the opposite direction. Will update if anything changes.
