I bought this as a bath toy for my son (me controlling it obviously) and couldn't be happier. He cannot get enough of this toy and loves turning the lights off when in use. This helped him get over being in the dark and he loves bath time even more. The battery life is pretty decent (about 2 hours of active time per charge). The only gripe I have is when going forward, sometimes the rudder gets stuck and the boat will go in circles unless I manually twist it back to center position. Other than that I love this submarine.

And a huge deciding factor in this purchase is the warning beep it gives when the battery is low as well as a battery display on the screen. This is a must if you drive it anywhere in open water. It also comes with 2 batteries that last a good 15-20 minutes each. The only thing I wish it did was make tighter turns, otherwise this an awesome boat my kids love to play with.
