   This is exactly what I wanted for myself to provide an extra sense of security. As a single female renter I always felt a little concerned about the maintenance guys, office staff, previous tenants and any number of other service providers that had keys to easily enter my apartment. While I doubt this little gem will stop anyone who is bound and determined to gain access regardless of the consequences, I do believe it will deter those that attempt entry accidentally or who want to go unnoticed. It installed super easily. It took me longer to remove it from the packaging than it did to install it. I definitely recommend this to everyone who rents.

The "hotel" we booked was more like a motel with the door opening directly into the parking lot. To top it off, we were in the middle of some farmland with NO streetlights at all.    I am so happy I discovered this product in Amazon. I live in a rented room where there is no lock and I didn't want to request the owner to drill the lock for me. So, this product has been a savior for me. I can finally sleep in peace without having to worry about anyone trying to open the door when I am inside the room. It is super simple to use and also comes with a good manual. It also came with a small red pouch so I am definitely planning to carry it during my travels and use it at hotels or motels.    I keep this lock in my travel bag. I like a little extra security in hotels and when I travel internationally. The door jams/ hardware are all different, but when this fits, IT WORKS. I remember a story from a college friend who was traveling solo in France, and a guy had followed her and somehow managed to get the key to her room after she returned for the evening. He was able to unlock the door and the only thing that saved her was the security chain lock from inside the room (and she made a big scene so he finally left). She got really lucky but that story haunted both of us. When I saw this product, I bough it immediately.

   Looked complicated from the Amazon video, but it is very easy once it's in your hands. Have tried it on 3 locks now, 2 worked, 1 didn't (the door had a rubber seal around it...duh!). VERY secure and quite quick to get on there. I wanted it for my office door which does not lock. In case of active shooter we're supposed to barricade, but I am disabled...so I went and got my OWN lock! Problem solved. Brilliant little design, and I feel much safer now. Tucks right into my drawer in it's little red pouch, quite anonymously. My little secret lock.

   We recently have had an issue where a realitor has tried to gain illegal access to the home we are renting without the consent of our landlord and us. I had to find a way to prevent this, and this gadget was our amazing solution! We are unable to change the locks at the house we are renting due to the fine print in our lease. But I wanted to find a way to still protect my family and control unwelcomed entry to our home. I didn’t expect much especially being that part of this item is made of plastic! But it’s really an amazing little gadget! So easy to use. My husband tried to kick the door to see if it would loosen up and it didn’t BUDGE! I plan on buying more to take with us when we travel for added security. If you have a college student or you travel this is a must! This will be a new gift I give to all my kids going off to college. For the price, you can’t beat the quality and the fact this works and most of all protect yourself and you loved ones!

   Some of the times I travel by myself. I have never felt 100% secure in a hotel room. Usually I drag a piece of furniture in front of the door while asleep but with this device I won't feel the need for that anymore. I feel like even if there was an emergency one could easily disable the device really easily. If someone wanted to get in they would have to generate a lot of noise like kicking in the door. I like this product.

   This thing is GREAT! It's actually saved me a few times already when maintenance tried to come into my apartment to do repairs when I did not give them permission to enter and asked to be home when they did the work. I ask them to wear booties when they come in, but when they come by themselves, they never do and always drag leaves and whatnot all over my carpet. Other than for that use case, I feel very safe with this in my door and sleep better at night knowing that if someone wants to come in, they'll need to make a lot of noise breaking the window or knocking the door off the hinges. That will give me time to wipe the sleep out of my eyes so I can properly defend myself.

   This is the second Addalock lock I have purchased. The first one I bought on QVC years ago. I used it on a garage side door. You could not get that door open once the lock was in place. I liked that the lock was portable too—no drilling, no messing up a door with another lock. I had forgotten about the lock until recently when a security need arose. I checked Amazon to see if it was available there and was pleased to see they sold the authentic Addalock. I first stuck a quarter in the house door by the door handle to ensure the door was “eligible.” It was a candidate for the Addalock! Once I received the lock, I did have some additional questions and reached out to the Addalock distributor. They responded right away and resolved my questions with easy steps for me to follow.
