   I travel to many countries for work and have to stay in hotels. Many people I work with have reported waking up with someone standing in their room in the middle of the night or when they get out of the shower. I bought my Adalock almost a year ago and have been able to use it on every hotel door, except one. I always carry this and a wedge it for hotel door security. It has worked in four countries, including the US. As far as it being difficult to remove, you need to practice with it so that you feel confident that you could remove it in an emergency. I can remove it in the dark in less than two seconds.

   This is a well constructed product that is easy to install. I am an older female who recently traveled alone and used it in two different hotel rooms. The deadbolt in one of the hotel rooms did not seem to fit properly so I was especially glad to have this device to use. Before I purchased it, my concern was if it could be easily removed in case of a fire. The answer is YES. The design is really pretty simple but ingenious. My only question remains if there is a medical emergency and I am alone and unable get to the door, could emergency responders could get into the room? Most likely there would be a way for responders to get into the room although there might be a delay. I decided not to worry about those odds.

She wouldn't agree to adding other locks that required screwing into the wall. I have to admit I was really skeptical about this product, however it does exactly what it says it will. I was kind of clumsy putting the Addalock on my door the first time, but the lock adjusted. The Addalock piece is a sturdy little gadget! Believe it or not, I actually feel quite safe knowing that I have placed something that will resist the attack of a thief. Actually, I purchased this because I was watching TV and it is not unusual for me to hear my neighbor unlocking and locking his door. But this time as I kept listening it sounded like someone was actually at my door. I was not sleep so I jumped out of bed and looked thru the front door peep hole and sure enough, there was this guy bent down trying to break into my apartment.    I never write reviews but after receiving this and trying it out, I was so impressed that I had to share. This took all of 1 minute to setup and after pulling hard on the door, the Addalock held firm. We use this on an interior door that doesn't currently have a lock on it. So simple to use and should hopefully prevent us from being surprised in the night by someone breaking in via the basement and sneaking up to the main floor of the house without us knowing.
