New shoes are covered with a protective coating (old shoes are covered in rust), so I went looking for a reasonably priced sandblaster to do the job: removing the coating. So, this showed up the other day (really fast shipping) and I wanted to give it a try but I had no media, so I ran down to the local beach and scored some sand from there. I did have to sift the sand, with some kitchen utensils, and give it some time to dry out, but once I did the blaster worked flawlessly. It’s great for small projects, or larger ones if you have the patience. The hopper will go through the sand pretty quick but siphon option should correct that. Don't hesitate if you are looking for a reasonably priced sand blaster that gits 'er done!

I bought this to blast some rust area of my 69 Ford. Arrived today and tested it out on a couple spots and couldn’t be happier with the results. The only drawback I saw was the hose coupling included with the kit didn’t fit my hose. Luckily I had another in my garage. Also make sure your compressor can keep the pressure up to all those 1 Star didn’t work reviewers. Lol. Trying out the siphon feature tomorrow!
