This is in the top 5 of items I purchased in the last 5 years. See photo. This was engraved on somewhat soft wood. If I can do it so can you. I gave it 4 stars for ease of use because it's not plug and play. The information that comes on a thumb drive will help you enough to get going. These companies should hire a technical writer to enhance the instructions.

Maybe all the bad reviews are here also because of the fact that was years ago, and things just werent as good then when it came to cheap laser engravers. All i can say is its damn good for $90 or so total. Ps: i dont see why its a big deal to buy another laser when you need a new one. At least you have a x and y plotter that you can still use with a new laser.

Is for beginners, I use the app in my iPhone, and is very easy to set up. Overall is a nice, fun and good quality little toy. More like a novelty than a production tool.
