   I bought the product without the dome and here is what I have to say... it works exactly how it says it will. I use it for my soda in a can and add just a bit of water. I have just let the water stay in there and when I pull the can out to drink I just tap the bottom on a napkin. It is the perfect temp to drink. Icy cold.    Got this for my wife. She was frequently throwing away drinks because they got warm and lost their carbonation. Once she started using the electric cup cooler, there is alot less wasted beverages. 12 + 16oz cans fit perfectly. 8.4oz redbull is has about 1cm wiggle room from the walls but since the cooler uses conduction, the slim redbull still stays ice cold because it's touching the bottom. It keeps drinks just as cold as they would be coming out of the fridge. Since the drinks stay cold, a whole lot less carbonation is lost.
   Only downside is heat it creates - just make sure you dont put any other cold drinks next to it.

   I'm very skeptical of products like this. Something that says it will cool your drink and keep it cool but honestly it works. Right now I have a can of soda in it that's half full and had been sitting into the cooler for an hour and the soda is still surprisingly really cold. Keeping the soda inside the tin cup keeps it especially cold. It is a tad noisy but nothing I would complain about, my PC fans give off a similar white noise and the cooler noise just sorta blends in with it. I do have to say though 8oz cans are probably the ideal drink to put in it. Everything else is a hit or miss. Tall boy cans work but it won't be as cold as an 8oz can. Bottles that can fit are cool but not cold. Also the amount of perspiration that comes out on the tin cup worries me because I feel like that'll lead to this product dying out on me within the year but for now it works so I'll continue to use it.

   I was a little skeptical when I ordered this. But, it works better then advertised. The fan noise doesn't seem too loud to me, and is about as loud as my computer fan. Right when you turn it on, the plate on the inside gets good and cold. Seems to lower the temp of the liquid in the cup by about a degree every 10 minutes or so. So, if your drink is cold when you put it in the cup, it will continue to get colder. The cup that comes with it seems to work best for me, and cools faster then anything else I have used. I use this mostly for protein drinks throughout the day. I don't like these drinks when they get warm. Typically, when the drink has been sitting in this for a while, when I take a drink, it looks like it is starting to freeze around the edges. But, I have never had anything actually freeze. NOTE: I do put a lid on the cup, just to keep critters out of my drink. This lid also seems to help keep the drink colder as well.

   It just works great and keeps my beverage's cold as long as they fit in the aluminum container provided, it's been a few months and still works perfect for my needs when I need a cold beer or soda or water in plastic or canned or bottled it's great, and don't expect to use a warm plastic/canned/bottle beverage for it to make it cold fast or something like that it will take too long it's meant for refrigerated items to keep at a higher chill for hours to enjoy and it's worth every dollar spent.
