We set it down when hanging by the campfire, used it as a layer outside our tent opening for taking off boots, and even under our sleeping bags to keep out moisture on a cold night.    I own the original matador blanket. Their design is ingenious and there is this stitched pattern which clearly shows how to fold it back to fit in pocket. I'm primarily using this for travel. It stays in my purse at all times. So far I have used it as a blanket on airplane (surprisingly warm despite being thin), it was dark enough to cover my face and block light for sleep as well. I also have used it as an emergency rain coat. This mini size can do every thing as well, but case is better. Very happy with it and quality product.

   I bought this for a very specific purpose and am very happy upon receiving it. I will be flying with my six month old at the end of the month and I wanted something to place on the ground to use as a barrier between his blanket and the floor. It is incredibly compact, unfolds, and folds fairly easy. I love that it has the stitching to assist with folding. It is incredibly thin so I do not know if it will be ideal for outside for us but I do believe it could work for that as well. I was able to get it folded and back into the pack. I also love that the carrying case is attached.
