What I received from the PlayLearn is superior in every way. There are many dazzling fibers which transmit light at the ends. The base is very showy, sturdy and colorful. It gives off considerable light in several pleasant changing colors. I strongly recommend this product from PlayLearn. I do not intend to leave it on for very long periods. Some reviews have stated it eats batteries. You might consider using rechargeable AAA batteries if you want to run it continuously for many hours
