Not only was it painful but one swollen finger had three precious rings on it that I could not remove! My biggest fear was that they would need to be cut off and I was so upset as these were of great sentimental value and I did not want them ruined. I saw the ad for these gloves and ordered them hoping they could provide some relief from the pain in my fingers. I was not able to bend my hands to grip things such as pulling up my blanket. I got the gloves and was shocked to see how they redistributed the swelling when I took them off. And hallelujah I slid my rings off!!! I wear them frequently as I still have not had the arthritis treated. Am so relieved to have found and bought these gloves.
