   I've never had to use such a tool ever as any thing i used was either already connected, or had a special connector. these Wire cutters are great, everything is clearly labeled and functions when used properly. I've had to use these for custom building quad drones, and with various AWG wire sizes this can cut many of them no problem.

   I ordered two of these just because of the previous ratings. When I got them I couldn't wait to test them. I opened one package and gave it the once over then tried it on some small bolts I had. It cut very nice and easy and clean. Then I tried the wire cutter on a few thicknesses of wire. It handled them with no problem and cut very well. So now I have one I will use and one spare for when I "lose" it. Or out gets legs and runs off.

This pair IS a definite UPGRADE in the shoulder pack..    I got these for the crimpers so I could do some low voltage wiring on the tractor. I had low expectations but was really surprised by the quality of them and wouldn't hesitate to use them on romex or anything else for that matter. They are marked better than any other stripper I own, saying which holes fit which wires. I hit them with a shot of teflon as they were a touch stiff out of the package.
