   I am pleasantly surprised. I bought this on a whim with a gift certificate. Figured, what the hell right? It actually works! I left the skin on, sliced the potatoes in my food processor, followed the suggested cooking instructions and Viola! Potato Chips. No extra salt, no oil. Now I have a snack anytime I want one. Some chips do puff a little, need to be pushed out when they are done, and break a little, but a lot less breakage than the bag you buy at the store. I haven't tried flavored chips yet. I am going to soak some slices in pickle juice and see what happens. I recommend!

   The only instructions are on the store (Season the potato slices & place into the tray, Microwave for 5-6 mins), but with a little experimentation I found that I can make very tasty, healthier chips very quickly. The thinner the slices are - I use an adjustable mandoline - the crispier they are. A little salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder....whatever! The chips are delicious. Sweets (like sweet potatoes) cook faster and the sugar makes them cook hotter, so less time for them. It's better to start with less time - but the device itself works just fine, if you don't mind playing around to figure it out.
