Just make sure you plug in the power adapter before you try to levitate it. This was a Christmas gift from my wife and I love it. Video shows the changing color mode, but you can turn it off or keep it on white or yellow light only. If you unplug it, the moon will not levitate. I love that the moon was 3D printed to model the actual appearance and features of the moon surface. This makes it more than just a novelty light, it's educational. If this keeps working over time it's a home-run.

I love the detail of this thing. At first i wouldn't get it to levitate, it just kept sticking to the base. Once i started to use my fingers to keep it off the base (see video) i was able to do it a lot easier. I see comments concerned about our outages and what happens to the moon when the electricity is out. The moon simply falls on to the base and sticks there magnetically. I'd say it was worth the money and it would be a great thing to show guests.
