They’re thin, seem well made, they don’t charge as fast as plugging something in, but I don’t think they’re supposed to.

When you first plug in the charging pad, it goes through a simple boot sequence in which the LED's come alive. The first time I plugged it in I was shocked at how many LED's were in it and how well they were able to fill in the "magic" runes on the pad. After this LED boot sequence, the lights turn back off until you place a Qi-enabled device onto it. Once you do so, it runs through the same boot sequence and as soon as it finishes, your device is charging.
