   I bought this for my friends' twins (almost 10 months old) for Christmas. It came quickly and in great shape and it's nicely made (Melissa & Doug do a good job). I was a little worried about giving such a big toy to friends who don't live in a big house, but the mom LOVED it and said she'd been eyeing it "out on the town." The babies loved it, too. A favorite part was the tag hanging off the ear -- which now might never be removed! Our only question was that the tag says the giraffe can be posed, but it doesn't really seem very "positionable." In any event, the "fur" feels nice, the toy stands up well, and it has a really cute face and ears. And it's just the right height to peek over the edge of the crib!

   This is the most realistic looking giraffe stuffed animal I've ever seen, and it looks even better in real-life. Its head is raised a little more than the ones pictured on this site, which all seem to arc downward (the head on mine is aligned perfectly horizontal). It has adorable long black eyelashes and the sweetest smile. I'm really happy with it! The legs are sturdy, and could probably support a toddler climbing on its back. So far, my cat has enjoyed riding it and hiding underneath it. I saw a gently used one at a second-hand child's clothing store yesterday; it must have been an older model as it had a slightly darker striped face and again the head tilted downward... it still had the Melissa and Doug tag on it, and the store was charging more than the online cost, so I felt I got a really great deal. And again, it's sooooo cute!!!
