(We accidentally broke one link - our fault. This link is really easy to be remove by the opening). I bought this for my little 13 year old Chiweenie for his little hip hop costume. It looks amazing and is super light weight but doesn't feel like the cheap plastic. It was a little big for him so after reading another review, I figured out how to take eack link off to customize the size for Riley. All you do is you line up the opening of two links(towards the end) and "slide" one off of the other. It's pretty durable plastic that can slightly bend for this to be able to happen. Then, I slid the round metal Hoop that's at the end, on to the last link, so that I'd be able to fasten it to the other side. I removed about 4-5 links to make this fit perfectly.
