   My son and I like to go on adventures and as he is only 3 years old, sometimes he gets tired or sometimes I want to hold him to prevent any falls. It's great because we could be hiking along and then when he needs he'll climb on my back. We've got to share some amazing experiences that not many 3 years old get to do. The only thing I'd change is to make the platform a little wider. I think it would make it easier for the child to plant their feet, relax, and enjoy the ride.

   We are transitioning from our osprey to having our toddler walk full-time during hikes and walks. This is nice as it gives her a break from the walk but is not bulky to keep on. It is taxing if wearing her for extended periods but we are trying to encourage her to walk so not a big deal. We love it, she loves it. If you are looking for something to wear for long periods, this is not your solution - but a great transition piece for a toddler who needs breaks during long days out!

   I really think this is great! My daughter is a little bigger than normal, and I’m a little smaller than normal (I have small shoulders) and this does make my shoulders sore after the first 15-20 mins of use. I’m fit, but this is not the greatest for those of use with small frames (I’m 5’3”). My husband on the other hand has no issues and can barely tell she’s on there. But, I power through it and call it more of a workout. I’m just surprised to not hear about this in the reviews. Also, other people constantly ask me “well what if she wants to sit down?”. I just remind them that children have a lot more energy than us lol. All in all, a great invention!!

   We bought this so we could hike at a national park over the weekend. We wanted to go on a medium difficulty hike but there is no way our 2 1/2 (30lb-35lb) year old would have been able to go. Anyway did some browsing and landed on this piggy back rider. He got on easy, was comfortable, and I carried him with ease. We hiked for 2 hours and the only problem was he started to fall asleep, which you cannot do with this. That’s not a knock on the product, just expressing how comfortable it was. My wife helped load him so I never tried by myself but I would assume it’s a 2 person job.

We used it for the first time yesterday on a small hike in Red Canyon to get used to it and while our daughter was nervous she caught right on and loves it! Today she was more confident with it. We took the Navajo Loop and both she and my husband made it with ease.
