   This watering can has a smaller water hole than I expected which is actually awesome because I have a lot of small plants and pots. Other watering cans usually have this big gush of water coming out but this elephant one has a small hole so it's a gentle, thin stream of water. It's great because then I can poke it into a small pot and the water won't splash anywhere. The material is also very thick and sturdy. I'm happy.

It's cute enough to sit right our beside the plants, and I keep water in it, ready to come to the aid of a thirsty plant. I've gotten so many compliments! It does not cost much, but don't let that sway you from its big ability to get the job done. Filled almost to the brim without leaking when held upright, it holds about 75 ounces (2.2 liters), and the pour spout’s stream is light to medium, a good speed. A great value for less than $8! Beware: I learned quickly to hold the opening at the end of the trunk very close to what I want to water (if I'm in the house), especially when it's full of water. Also, I pour slowly until I'm sure where the water will go. Water will come shooting out of the trunk and water the plant's surroundings otherwise. But he's so cute, I don't care!

I used a black Sharpie to darken them, then gave each eye a quick spray with some leftover clear matte spray paint to keep the marker from rubbing off. Turned out great!

The spout produces a steady stream of water, which is great for watering smaller plants as it gives you more control. I use it to water plants in four inch pots. The water may spill out from the larger hole if it is full and angled down too far. The elephant watering can is perfect for what I need.
