   As a retired engineer, I look at things a little differently then others. Functionality is important and after a physical problem developed, I was faced with challenges that I never thought of before. Putting on socks were tough, but now to put on compression hose became an act of war. Working with physical therapists on the “better way” of such a a simple task of putting on sox from thin plastic sleeves that have pull up ropes to the old bread bag thing. Looking at this unit, I thought I would give it a shot! It arrived and I cannot believe how great this extremely heavy duty this thing is. Well built yes, but the function of this is so great! I would like to shake the hand of the designer of this because they really made my life a lot easier. Thank you!!!!!!!

   This sock installer works great, made of plastic but thick enough I doubt I will ever break it. I wear long (over the calf tube socks) and I roll the sock down about 1/2 way and place it on the device (I put the device between my knees when feeding the sock onto the device to make it easier) and then place it on the floor and slide your foot in. It always gets the socks on most of the way onto my feet. I've never used the included T handle.

   I was having a terrible time putting on the lowest-level 8-15mmHg compression socks, so I took a chance on the Sock Slider. It was a bit of a struggle getting them onto the gadget, but still a better option than without it. However, as per the description, I'm sure any size over the 8-15 socks could not be stretched over the Sock Slider. I'm glad I got this kind with the extra part to help get the socks off as well.

   When I saw the video, I was very skeptical. I tried the product for the very first time and wow, it actually works. I have a drawer full of socks that I have purchased over the years from ankle, work, hiking, dress and over the calf socks and it works well on all of them. If you watch the videos it easy to guess how to best use it for yourself. My feet are super wide (5- EEEEE out of 6) and I did not have a problem at all.

   I had bought a sock helper that had straps. Putting it on was a hassel. Purchased the sock slider and in no time I had it conqured and putting socks on without the aid of my wife. I actually believe my wife likes it better than me. Great product and very sturdy. For someone who can not bend to reach your sock's, this is a must have product!
