   This tool saves you hours of time. It is a portable drill press. Its one of my favorite tools. I build things and use it very often to by pass my drill press on larger objects or small. You can drill and rework project without having to take it a part to use the drill press. It is an amazing time saver and at times the only tool to do the job.

   For the money, I didn't expect a drill press, and it didn't disappoint for my purpose. I used it to drill for long screws and dowel pins, and they consistently made vertical holes. I especially liked the slotted bottom allowing it to center the hole by butting the slot on the edge faces without having to use a ruler. I didn't use the stopper on the guide, since I have my own stopper on the drill.

   This thing was great for drilling my bannister rails. The lower handle made using this thing easy, and the guide marks on the base were nice too.. To set up, I hung it below the rail to get the angle correct for drilling. Then I removed the rail, clamped it to a bench, and drilled a billion holes. I used a powerbore wood bit in the guide, and a dewalt drill. Made the job sooo much easier. Just take it slow. I read some of the negative reviews and it sounds like people were trying to use this guide to replace a drill press. (??) I don't know, but it worked great for me.
