   I'm one of those that have been struggling with tin snips, Dremel tool, and other methods taught by my father. I was looking through the web on how to cut curves in sheet metal and found this. It is easy to use and freehand guide along a curve. I actually looped a wire around the head, anchored the other end to a screw and cut a near perfect inside hole 11" diameter. It leaves small chips behind, so I cut over a cardboard box.

   This does a very good job of cutting thin metal. I found it easier to use by putting the head in a vice and manipulating the material than trying to move the drill and cutter together to cut straight lines. The cut is narrow, and only small slices are taken off with each cut which leaves a nice enough finish for some jobs and when you need a clean cut, only minor filing is required. This is my second tool, the first went walking!

   I will not say it is for someone that would use a nibbler on a daily basis. There are a few times, like maybe once a year or so, that I need a tool like this. Have made do with what I had and it was more work than needed. Today I got my nibbler for this years project and it worked perfectly. Very happy with the tools performance and it made my project go so smoothly and fast. Now I am thinking I might have to use thin metal for more of my projects based on how well this worked.

   I need to cut some sheet metal for a few projects I am working on and I came across this device that simply just attaches to your drill and speeds up the cut time. I was a bit skeptical on how well this little nibbler would actually cut. To much surprise it actually worked pretty well. The cuts were nice and straight and there were no weird burs left over. It actually cut a lot nicer then your usual shears. Now the real benefit comes into play when you have to cut curved lines. This does it with no problem. I am actually quite impressed as it has exceeded my expectations.

   Looks good but doesn’t replace my actual corded nibbler. Didn’t really cut good at all on just about everything I tried it on.(edited). After a quick and easy email conversation and some troubleshooting. I have found that it was not their issue. Everything can have a mistake and this one ended up being a incomplete mill job. With that said. They will fix any issue you have. Now I have a working nibbler and a happy experience.

   It is a really powerful tool to fast cut thin sheet metal, normally aluminum. I attached it on my bench drill press to make several instrument enclosure panels. I cannot to show the real work, and just show the test cut. It cut the aluminum sheet really fast. This is a very easy tool to use. Just after read the manual and briefly training, I can cut the panel almost perfectly. I will recommend this tool to my friends.

   First of all, this is a nicely made product and nicely packaged. Even includes an extra anvil and an extra punch rod.In use, it does a nice job - leaving a nice, clean slot (I was using it on 0.055" sheet metal - probably mild steel).BUT!! Well, you know there would be a 'BUT'. It is not easy to use. The line you are trying to follow on the sheet metal is hidden a bit by the nibbler tip. So, for any accuracy, you really should make us a simple template or guide so you can press the 'tip' against it. You also have to hold the tip down so the tip edge is riding on the sheet metal. One more reason to have a guide of some sort. You should also secure the piece you are working on because you are going to be very busy guiding the rather cumbersome nibbler head and drill combination.Despite the above comments it does nice work and does leave a nice clean edge. It is really cutting a round hole and not a square or rectangular hole. And it is quick! Hint: keep the bit and anvil well oiled.

   This nibbler replaces a very old one that had seen better days. It comes with two blades for different thicknesses of sheet metal. You screw the handle over one and use the other. It fits on any standard drill. It has a hex head, so you can use a hex chuck as well.I use this over a set of tin snips because I can never do a straight line to save myself. With the nibbler, I can start and the edge and do a quick straight line cut. It's also really easy to cut vent pipe. I've also used it to trim vent pipe in place, but it gets hard if the vent is close to a wall or in a truss space. You'll get about 80% with the nibbler and you'll need to finish with snips.Anyway it comes with spare nibblers (blades?), a step drill bit, spare blades, nibbler head and cutting guides (you can do circular cuts as well!!)

   this thing is hungry for plenums and so when i need a star collar put into my ducting i release the rexbeti to feed!legit tho, its much lighter than my 120v ac sheet metal cutters, and i dont need a plug and extention cord furthering the weight removed from my kit, it can make way tighter radius cuts than a tin snip or the electric cutter, its faster than both, and its a pleasure to use where as those other options are to me very unpleasant, often dangerous. no more wrestling with razor edged sheetmetal. great cost feels really well made. little crescent shaped metal pieces fall out of it, so watch for that, but its not as messy as the chips a drill would make and a magnet can easily remove them from your ducting or equipment. try these puppies
