I start by laying him down on a pillow and giving a few belly rubs and then pulling back his mouth/lips with one hand so the back teeth are exposed enough to scrape away from the gum line.It’s also very important to pair using these tools with daily teeth brushing with a good doggy toothpaste. My pup doesn’t really like teeth brushing but I’ve gotten him used to the finger brush and it really helps to loosen the plaque for an easier time scraping it off.

We use these to scrape the plaque off of our two dogs' teeth. It works to remove the plaque without harming their teeth or gums. They don't particularly like the process but they tolerate it fine.
