I think "yapper" owners needs a couple of varieties of muzzels. I have softer ones that quiets the bark somewhat but he is still able to have nibble treats and drink water. THIS muzzel would not be for long periods and it completely quiets the barking. It has been the BEST one for a training tool and the only one I carry in my car. All I have to do is show it to him for instant behavior change. I will review a velvet one I purchased last year from a different company that is his favorite and one of mine and for some reasons relaxes him to sleep. The duck muzzel is adorable and makes people do a double-take.

We got it to prevent him from nipping at a new kitten we brought home as he was a little too excited. It allows him to breathe/pant and bark. As we only just tried it on for size I couldn’t say whether he can drink or eat. But it does fully cover his snout so I’d say no to the eating. It’s a nice soft silicone and I doubt will be irritating but we shall see. Overall a great price for a great product.
