Even though I could see her putting pressure on the leash trying to run, I couldn't feel any change in the bike. She learned her position very quickly after that and responded to speed and direction changes without verbal cues.    I have been very happy with this product. my dog was a little scared on our first ride but she got used to it quickly. It helped to walk with her Attached to the bike for the first couple times before I rode the bike with her. Allowing her to run fast next to me gives her much better exercise than just going for a walk. It's easy to hook up and easy/safe to use.
