He quickly figured out that he is restrained (with the little clip-on leash) while in the basket and does not try to jump out - even when an evil squirrel crosses his path! The only criticism I'd give is that the lead for the latch is a bit long and without the top string tightened enough, my little puppy was almost able to make it out but I luckily caught her. Just need to be more careful to make sure the top string is tightened. I was wondering if this could also function as a car seat.
