Theres a metal bowl for fuel that I spooned in from a Walmart sterno gel canister but the burn surface was too much and flames were coming out the sides. The sterno can fits in there just fine by its self and keeps the flame in the middle, perfect! Its worryingly light but performs great. Would love a cast iron version but this is fine. I've ordered a couple more to entertain at my home tiki bar!
