It included very yummy recipes. I used the gingerbread shortbread. I found that when my dough had been re-created a number of times it became as expected, super soft. So I used one of the molds and shot out a long continuous ribbon onto the cookie sheet and cut to desired amount. These cookies at the end were crunchy outside and soft inside. Easy gun. Tasty cookies.

The cookies are very pretty, the designs are distinct. I probably will only use this at holidays, but it might tempt me to go beyond! I used one of the recipes in the booklet...very buttery, not too sweet..just right. ( I used all vanilla,no almond flavoring, but that is personal preference.)

Okay...while nothing will ever replace my electric cookie shooter that sadly died after 25 of faithful cookie service, I researched the world over, (they just don’t make the electric ones anymore! but my conclusion is that the Cookie Maker Pump Presss is a good substitute. Easy to use! Easy to clean and the see thru barrel is a must! The cookie dye I used for my spritz recipe worked out great, albeit the cookies were rather small for my desires, but a double hit on the crank fixed that by doubling the cookie in size on the sheet. Good luck! I like this shooter, it’s good.
