   I purchased these in silver because my living room is decorated in black, red, and gray. I wondered if they would have too much of a holiday only look but was very pleasantly surprised to see that they work great in a tall vase mixed with a few sprigs of colored silk foliage as a year round focal point (they would be fine stand alone too). They are bright and provide more illumination to the room than I expected. I highly recommend and would purchase again.
