   These worked out great until one of the kids forces the door handle up or down too hard or pulls on the white paddles. Or maybe they just got old and broke. The paddles fall off and the springs shoot out. We had three for about a year and eventually all broke.

   This is a good and simple tool. You can use it with one hand and it's not extremely obtrusive. That said keep in mind how your door knob works. Ours unfortunately will rotate both sides when opening from outside. Thus we can't use this with our smart door knob as it's possible to lock ourselves out completely. Will probably get rid of this when we can.

   Let me start by saying, these locks are awesome. They kept my kids away 😂 and were easy to install. BUT, they are extremely hard to remove without messing up your door. I had six of these on six different doors in my home. We needed to remove them since we are painting the doors to sell our home. When I looked at how the seller suggested to remove, I was skeptical but tried it their way. As you can see in the pic, it messes up my door. It was also extremely hard to get off with the fishing wire and the adhesive was practically stuck to the door. Once I finally got it off, the paint on the door came with it. I knocked off a star for that...

   The door handle safe guard works great on one door but not on the other door. The surface on the second door is not even enough so the adhesive doesn't work. I haven't been able to use the deadbolt safe guard because I can't get under the dead bolt to connect. I will try to find someone who can do it for me. I have arthritis and not much strength in my hands. Thank you. I love the one that fits well and the one that doesn't is a determent at this time. Maybe I can figure something else out before he figures it out. Hopefully, I will be able to find someone to put the deadbolt safe guard on for me.
