I really love this thing, its easy to use, just put your hair in the middle of the O and twist in one direction to wrap the hair around it. Easy to close, easy to use. Some tips I can share with you I think he other reviewers must not have done is brush the hair your twisting really well, I used a little bit of gel in my daughters hair on each section to make it straight and stay together, and make sure the hairs at even lengths when clipping it in the grooves, I held the machine out and slowly pressed the button as if twirled her hair (be careful not to over twirl it I did it at 1st and had to redo it), then I just followed the arrow and turned the machine that way until it was as tight as I wanted it (again don't over twist it) and the picture was the finished product from my 1st time! There are probably some YouTube tutorials of people showing you how to use it but it really was great and easy, I loved the result.
