The lights stay on for a short time (enough to fall asleep) then it’s able to be turned on throughout night if kids wake up scared. Was very helpful and almost immediately helped with “nightmares” and scary things at night. Highly recommend. Batteries are easy to replace, needs screw driver which is nice so kids can’t access batteries easily. This is the second one we have purchased now (for second kid) and couldn’t be happier.
