Okay so I've been on a decor binge lately. I was throwing a blacklight party and wanted to create perfect ambiance. When I ran across this little thing I knew I had to give it a go. Firstly, I was delighted and the flowtation of the jellyfish. When you plug it in there's a little pump that helps them move around but you wouldn't know it unless you set it up. The atmosphere it created was fantastic. Perfect for my blacklight party. I almost wish they had a mega size version of this. Would buy that in a heartbeat!

The unit produces is sturdy & well constructed and emits a very soft and soothing white noise as the glowing jelly fish bob and dance. The lighting can be set for static or alternating settings. The look and feel reminds us of the small fish tank we had years ago --but without any of the fuss! As for the packaging/delivery....it was shipped and arrived safe and sound without delay, was well packaged so suffered no breakage and the seller very thoughtfully reached out to inquire whether we were pleased with the item. The colors are so vibrant and the movement is fluid. The jellyfish, i would consider, being large (compared to the other) and it makes the lamp sooooo much cooler and actually fun to just watch! I feel terribly for the people who have had a bad experience with this item. I know how frustrating it can be to purchase an item and feel as though you've wasted money. Our experience with this item is quite different. Extremely easy to assemble and works well. My wife has now had this item in her office at work for 1 year and 2 months now and it's running perfect and strong. We've not even had to add any water to it or change the water. It's perfectly clear, the lights work great, the fan works great, and it can be mesmerizing. So many people come to her office to look at and they are amazed at how cool it is. So I you don't want people coming to see it, I wouldn't purchase it. We are buying two more this Christmas for gifts because ours has worked so well.

Bought this for a gift. The teenager loved it. It was easy to set up with simple instructions in the box. We used almost 1 gallon of distilled water and about 5 drops of dish washing soap. We swished bubbles off the jellyfish using a stirring rod as we introduced them into the tank. We have operated it 4 hours (it turns off automatically) every night for a week and really pleased with it. It is soothing watching the jellyfish dance in the water and the light cycle through all the colors. So far no tentacles tangled in water pump (can't see how this will happen if inlet appears to be covered with foam filter).
