It can be powered by AA batteries or through the USB port. There are three mirror sections, the two smaller side panels can swivel side-to-side and fold onto the larger main panel, for portability and protection. The left hand side panel has half-size 2x and 3x magnifying mirrors for close work. The lighting brightness can be adjusted, a big plus. On and off button, also good. The mirror portion can swivel up and down on the base. I like the ability to adjust the various components, depending on my needs. Very satisfied!"
