When fall approached, i noticed i was getting more and more sluggish and had a harder time to get up out of bed in the morning, less energy throughout the day. I purchased this lamp to see if it would affect my issues in a positive way. Well, it did. I noticed a changes within the first two days of use. I noticed waking up sooner and not falling asleep in the evening as quick, also a lot better attitude and mood. I am using it as my nightstand lamp and turn it on in the morning to read the news. 30 mins or so seem to be sufficient for me but other people might need more time or spread it throughout the day. I have also used at my desk at home during the dark days of December and it has helped tremendously. I can, and have, recommend it wholeheartedly. It has a stand on the back that can be turned upright or sideways and it is about the size of a tablet and very light. I am very pleased with it.
