Each fan is capable of being rotated to the best position necessary to help move air. I keep it on the low speed. Works good. I cable tied it to the top of a wire crate and it made too much noise so I placed a small towel under it. That quieted the rattle.

The cord is long enough that it will sit on the back dashboard for a four-door car. I've only used the fan on the lowest setting since it's sufficient. For such a small fan it is quite powerful although it does make a little bit of noise. I've also used this to keep my dogs cool when traveling.
