It's simple to use, simple to clean and the sugar that you purchase separately isn't all that expensive. We plan on using this for not only regular use but parties and so forth as well. It takes only a couple of minutes to put to together, 10 minutes to heat up and once cool only a few minutes to clean. It's not heavy and easy to transport. If you're in the market for a cotton candy maker I highly recommend getting this one!

This machine works great with candy floss sugar, but it also does well with hard candies. It does fling a lot of the sugar onto the sides of the bowl, but you can easily pull them off and remelt them to make more cotton candy. We were able to get 8 full "fluffs" of cotton candy out of only 3 scoops (1 TSP) of the sugar floss mix. We crushed Jolly Rancher candies for the next round and it worked great. It does take a few seconds longer to produce cotton candy when you use hard candies as a starter, since it has to melt down large pieces. I would definitely recommend this product if you're going to be having a party or small intimate gathering.
