It really makes a difference to be able to eat on a table as opposed to eating on your lap in your car! I will say that I've had to permanently remove my steering wheel cover in order to make this fit but that is a price my wife and I are willing to pay! Other positives are that the "food side" has an area to put your cup. When you flip this over to the "table side" it has a little area to hold your pen or pencil! Love it love it love it.
