You only need to do this once you're in place of the charger. I know, it's not symmetrical, but you can't beat the price of this steering wheel table, and half the time, I don't have the correct steering wheel in neutral. This desk helps me be much more productive when charging, especially during long charges. Sure, I can watch YouTube or movies, but catching up on work is great with this!

It has two sides. One has a cup holder and the other has a completely flat surface and a pen holder. If it gets dirty, I just scrub it down with a disposable wipe that I keep in my glove compartment.
